Such a treat in this small beautiful local town. They didn’t have an English menu but were helped by the staff and patrons (also looked up all the images here) and ate a delicious meal. The fish coated with almonds was divine and a must try. The rye beer was fantastic as was the local white wine.
Lovely restaurant with delicious food. Their daily special was excellent, as well as the cheese spätzle. The apricot dessert was very sweet, otherwise everything was quite excellent. Has a lovely atmosphere and a lot of outdoor seating. Indoor seating is at large tables, others will be sat with you if you’re a small group and it’s busy. Friendly staff.
Great place, great food and beer, but most of all absolutely perfect service. The guys were very nice. Definitely recommend to visit! That's how it would go...🙂
Went here on my own for my first night in Krems, absolutely would recommend it - the restaurant is based in the old Salt warehouses, and has a very friendly staff & nice atmosphere.
The food is quite typically Austrian and done extremely well: I had the goulash & topfenknodel both of which were very good indeed, getting the meat at the correct tenderness makes the difference between a decent and excellent goulash and this was an excellent one. Also came with a choice of bread, semmelknodel, potato, etc which as someone who doesn't eat potatoes I really appreciated.
Would absolutely recommend.
First, the staff was extremely polite and helpful with their suggestions and service. Second, the food was delicious. Third, we really enjoyed eating outdoors on a hot summer night. I hope you enjoy this as much as we did.
Was here for a stay over night. Rooms are very old-fashioned, not really big, but ok. Very old furniture, bed was a bit unstable. It was pretty cold in my room and didn't get a lot warmer over night. …
It looked great but unfortunately we didn't get a chance to eat due to the fact the kitchen is open till 2pm. And reopens at 6pm. With a toddler it was right in the middle of dinner time ;( seemed very attractive though and we really wanted to eat there.
Great place. As tourists, we was very lucky to find it.
Always a guarantee for traditional food, not over the top and just well made food. Et ice is attentive and the place has a very good vibe. Always come back!
Good Austrian food and good service. Pretty basic decor.
